Review: Every time I talk about this movie with my friends, I do not even refer to it by a title, but rather as the movie. When I say the movie, my friends know exactly what Im talking about. In fact the main reason that I and my friends dont refer to it by a title is because this film is so big that we do not feel worthy enough to say his name in vain! I still remember the first time I saw God the Shawshank redemption. Some of my friends and I went to see him in one of these Budget Theatres summer of 1995. None of us really knew anything about the film, but we've heard that it was pretty good. So, no real expectations, we saw it. When the final credits rolled and the lights turned on in the theater, all of us just sat there with our jaws hanging down to the floor. I turn myself into Bob my friend and said it was the biggest movie I've ever seen in my entire life! There's really no other way I can put it in words. Every moment of this film fascinated me and inspired me to believe in one true thing in life ...... HOPE. This movie is sad, uplifting, inspiring, hard, cold, funny (at times right), jaw-drip, and heart-warming all at the same time. I get chills every time I watch this film and this film have ended in older (which takes place during the last 30 minutes or so) in film history! Like all just come together so amazing and uplifting. I must also mention the music in this film is almost flawless as well, and the sound is a must buy for any music fan. Only bad thing about this movie is the fact that I know I will never see a better film, it does not matter as I can see. Ive seen many films in the last few years, many excellent films. However, every time I walk out of the theater, I turned to my friend or family member I've seen it with, and I said that was a great movie, but it was not nearly body I'm good as you know what! There were many films over the past few years, which I thought would be really moves me or that I could never call my favorite of all time, but theyve all fall far short of redemption of Shawshank. So if you have yet to see this movie, please run the video store immediately. You're guaranteed to find it in the employee selected section. But if it is not in this section, then you say employees are saying that there is something seriously wrong with them. If you've seen this movie, go see it again. If you havent bought your own copy yet, buy one. In fact buy two and put one in a fire-proof safe, just in case of emergency. : O) So you want 1-10 rating? I give it a 13!
