Review: Moneyball tells the story of the 2002 season through Oakland, a team that has grown to prominence because of its low labor and unorthodox player selection. Billy Bean (Brad Pitt), a former player turned general management, tired of the old, inefficient ways of playing, he devoted his life. When the deal goes wrong, he encounters Peter Brand (Jonah Hill), the Yale economist who believes that he has a system of ranking players based numbers.Billy and Peter start trading, signing, and care about the team, based on data, not intelligence, that that other team members do not like, including Art Howe (Philip Seymour Hoffman), team manager.
